Introductory email

I am developing / improving our NZ Animal directory, and one part of the service is a directory / listing of any dog/pet friendly cafes or restaurants.

Would it be possible for you to promote this in your facebook group, or next newsletter so that businesses in your area can contact me to add their details to our directory.

I am also interested in knowing about pet stores, vets, and other animal-related businesses or services.

If it is ok, I will also schedule reminder emails 2-3 times a year to you, to remind you of our website/directory.

What I ask

• for you to advise your business members in the community, via a way that suits you - Newsletter, Facebook post, Email or other method that you usually use.
• The member businesses/services not directly involved with animals, may know of busineses that are.
• The member businesses/services that are directly involved with animals (cafes, restaurants, hotels, motels), can contact us to add their business to the animal-friendly directory. Or the main directory, for vets, pet stores, pet walkers etc..

Q. Assistance dogs

This directory is not to list restaurants or cafes that allow assistance dogs into their premises, as it is a legal requirement to allow this.

This is to show case cafes, restaurants, motels and hotels that allow or promote general dogs/pets to come into the property with their owners.
Examples:

• Cafe/restaurant: provides an outside area for customers to eat, and have their dogs with them. Maybe they provide a water-bowl.
• Hotel/motel: allows dogs or pets into their rooms, with some restrictions.

Q. Pet-friendly web page

If your business has its own website, and you have a page set up to advise any policy / promotion regarding having people bring their dogs/pets onto your property, we can link direct to that page so our visitors can go direct to that page and get the information they are looking for.

Example: you have a website, http://www.myhotel.co.nz/ you may want to add a new page, http://www.myhotel.co.nz/pets/ and include your promotion/policy on pets in the hotel.
